Uroschesis

Emergency

Type 1: Deficiency type
Symptoms:
Dribbling in urination, weakness in urination, total blockage of urine in severe case, distension and fullness in the lower abdomen, pallor, listlessness, soreness and weakness of the loins and knees, deficient breath, speaking taciturnity with feeble voice, loose stool, lapse and full anus, pale tongue with slightly greasy fur, thin and weak pulse or tiny and moderate pulse.
Principle of treatment:
Warming and invigorating the spleen and kidney, benefiting energy to open retention of urine.Select the points from the Kidney Meridian of Foot-Shaoyin, the Urinary Bladder Meridian of Foot-Taiyang, Back-Shu points and points of the Ren Meridian. Reinforcing method, or moxibustion is adopted.
Prescription:
Yingu (KI10) He-Sea Point (Yingu (KI10) He-Sea Point), Shenshu (BL23) (Shenshu (BL23)), Sanjiaoshu (BL22) (Sanjiaoshu (BL22)),Qihai (CV6) (Qihai (CV6)), Weiyang (BL39) Lower Confluent Point (Weiyang (BL39) Lower Confluent Point), and Pishu (BL20) (Pishu (BL20))
Modification according to symptoms:
For prolapse of the anus, Ciliao (BL32) (Ciliao (BL32)) is added. For dysphoria, Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point (Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point) is added.
Type 2: Excess type
Symptoms:
Retention of urine, difficulty in defecation, distension and pain in the lower abdomen, restlessness, dry mouth, red tongue with yellow and greasy fur, rapid pulse. Rapid respiration, restlessness and coma occurs due to toxic materials produced by dampness-evil. Usually there is a file of surgical trauma or operation to check.
Principle of treatment:
Clearing away heat and eliminating dampness, promoting vital energy and blood circulation. Select the points mainly from the Spleen Meridian of Foot-Taiyin, the Urinary Bladder Meridian of Foot-Taiyang, the Ren Meridian. Reducing method is adopted. Moxibustion is unnecessary.
Prescription:
Sanyinjiao (SP6) (Sanyinjiao (SP6)),Yinlingquan (SP9) He-Sea Point (Yinlingquan (SP9) He-Sea Point), Pangguangshu (BL28) (Pangguangshu (BL28)), and Zhongji (CV3) Front-Mu Point of the Bladder (Zhongji (CV3) Front-Mu Point of the Bladder).
Modification according to symptoms:
For short breath, blood letting inChize (Chize (LU5)He-Sea Point), Shaoshang (LU11)Jing-Well Point (Shaoshang (LU11)Jing-Well Point). For dysphoria, Neiguan (PC6) is added. For coma, blood letting in Shuigou (GV26) (Shuigou (GV26)), Zhongchong (PC9) Jing-Well Point (Zhongchong (PC9) Jing-Well Point).
Cautions and precautions:
In case the Bladder is over extended by retention of urine, the lower abdomen points should be punctured more superficially and obliquely. Avoid deep and perpendicular insertion.
