Lung Meridian

Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-brachioradial muscle-radial nerve-brachial muscle.
In the superficial layer, there are the cephalic vein and the lateral cutaneous nerve of the forearm and so on. In the deep layer, there are the radial nerve, the anterior branches of the radial collateral artery and vein and the radial recurrent artery and vein.

On the transverse stria of elbow, radial side of the tendon of brachial biceps, when the palm is supine and the elbow is flexed slightly.
Cleaning away the lung-heat, regulating the stomach and flow of qi, relaxing muscles and tendons to alleviate pain.

Cough, asthma, hemptysis, tidal fever, fullness in the chest and hypochndrium; swelling and pain in the knee and knee-cap, shivering and clonic convulsion, body pain, rigidity and pain along spinal column, spasmodic pain of the elbow and arm, sudden and severe edema of limbs, pain and motor impairment of the hand; precordial pain, excessive sorrow leading to crying, pulseless disease, chronic infantile convulsion; enuresis, mass in the abdomen leading to pudendum pain, amenorrhea; acute vomiting and Diarrhea, sausarism and spitting blood, etc.

Combined with HeguLI4 (Hegu (LI4) Yuan-Source Point) for treatment of cold; with JianjingGB21(Jianjing (GB21)) and TianzongSI11 (Tianzong (SI11)), for treatment of mastadenitis; with DazhuiGV14(Dazhui (GV14)) for treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis; with WeizhongBL40(Weizhong (BL40) He-Sea Point, Lower Confluent Point) for treatment of erysipelas by applying the method of pricking and blood-letting ; with JianshiPC5 (Jianshi (PC5) Jing-River Point), LiequeLU7 (Lieque (LU7)Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point) and ShaoshangLU11(Shaoshang (LU11)Jing-Well Point) for treatment of saliva cloudiness; with ShangqiuSP15 (Shangqiu (SP5) Jing-Well Point), TaibaiSP3 (Taibai(SP3) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Primary Point) and SanyinjiaoSP6 (Sanyinjiao (SP6)) for treatment of reversed flow of qi; with QuchiLI11 (Quchi (LI11) He-Sea Point) for treatment of spasmodic pain of the elbow.

Direction: Puncture perpendicularly; depth: 0.5-1 cun; needling response: local sensation of numbness and distention, irradiating toward the hand; moxibustion: 5-7 moxa-cones, mild moxibustion for 15 min.
