Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-brachioradial muscle-radial nerve-brachial muscle.
In the superficial layer, there are the cephalic vein and the lateral cutaneous nerve of the forearm and so on. In the deep layer, there are the radial nerve, the anterior branches of the radial collateral artery and vein and the radial recurrent artery and vein.
Location:
On the transverse stria of elbow, radial side of the tendon of brachial biceps, when the palm is supine and the elbow is flexed slightly.
Function:
Cleaning away the lung-heat, regulating the stomach and flow of qi, relaxing muscles and tendons to alleviate pain.
Indications:
Cough, asthma, hemptysis, tidal fever, fullness in the chest and hypochndrium; swelling and pain in the knee and knee-cap, shivering and clonic convulsion, body pain, rigidity and pain along spinal column, spasmodic pain of the elbow and arm, sudden and severe edema of limbs, pain and motor impairment of the hand; precordial pain, excessive sorrow leading to crying, pulseless disease, chronic infantile convulsion; enuresis, mass in the abdomen leading to pudendum pain, amenorrhea; acute vomiting and Diarrhea, sausarism and spitting blood, etc.
