This project had been made for the purpose of observing acupuncture synergy on the rehabilitation of children autism. 40 cases children autism had been divided into two groups. 20 cases in control group simply received rehabilitation therapies (include ABA training, guidance education and sensory integration training), about 90 times of each therapy; 20 cases in treatment group had the basis of rehabilitation therapies plus 60-90 times acupuncture treatment. The selection of main point were Shenting (GV24), Baihui (GV20), Naohu (GV17), Qiangjian (GV18), Si Shen Cong, Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point, Shenmen (HT7) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Primary Point, Laogong (PC8) Ying-Spring Point, Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point, Fuliu(KI7) Jing-River Point, Taixi(KI3) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Source Point, the second and three speech areas, sensory area, spiritual affective area, vision area, dizzy-listen area, and frontal five. Two groups of children had dysgenopathy mental scale assessment before and after treatment.
Results: The markedly effective rates were 55.0% in the treatment group, 15.0% in the control group. The difference before and after training in some projects such as the total score of development, imitation, oral cognition in the treatment group were very significantly different from those in the control group. Conclusion: Acupuncture treatment of children autism, their effect is better than simply using rehabilitation methods.
