1. Hemorrhages due to extravasation of blood by heat. Small thistle (Xiao Ji) is used with Imperata rhizome (Bai Mao Gen), Cattail pollen (Pu Huang) and Biota tops (Ce Bai Ye).2. Bloody urine, Painful urination. Small thistle (Xiaoji) is used with Lotus node (Ou Jie), Talc (Hua Shi) and Clematis stem (Mu Tong) in the formula Xiaoji Yinzi.
