4 INDICATIONS
1. Thirst in febrile diseases. Trichosanthes root (Tian Hua Fen) is used with Glehnia root (Sha Shen), Ophiopogon root (Maidong), and Reed root (Lu Gen).2. Extreme thirst in diabetes. Trichosanthes root (Tianhuafen) is used with Pueraria root (Ge Gen), Schisandra fruit (Wu Wei Zi) and Anemarrhena rhizome (Zhi Mu).3. Dry cough due to lung heat. Trichosanthes root (Tianhuafen) is used with Mulberry bark (Sang Bai Pi), Tendrilled fritillary bulb (Chuan Bei Mu) and Platycodon root (Jie Geng).4. Boils and carbuncles. Trichosanthes root (Tianhuafen) is used with fritillary bulb (Chuanbeimu) and Honeysuckle flower (Jin Yin Hua).
