TCM Treatment on Psoriasis

Psoriasis is caused by wind and dampness, so the treatment principles are to eliminate wind and dampness. Meanwhile, regulate qi and blood, harmonize blood and nourish skin; or cool blood and nourish yin, or warm up meridians and reinforce blood; activate qi and blood to remove stasis for prolonged case. Xiao Feng San is suitable, it has functions to dispel wind and stop itching, clear heat and eliminate dampness, cool and nourish blood, eliminate toxicity. Add Quan Xie, Bai Xian Pi, Wu Jia Pi, Di Fu Zi, She Chuang Zi for wind; add Tu Fu Ling, Pei Lan, Yin Chen, Yi Yi Ren, Ze Xie for dampness; add Huang Bai, Huang Lian, large dosage of Shi Gao and Zhi Mu for heat; add Gui Zhi, Gan Jiang, Yin Yang Huo, ji Xue Teng for cold; add Huang Qi, Pao Shen, Bai Zhu or Tai Zi Shen for qi deficiency; add zhi He Shou Wu, sheng He Shou Wu, Shu Di Huang, Bai Shao, even E Jiao for blood deficiency; add Yin Yang Huo, Ba Jitian, Rou Gui for yang deficiency; add large dosage of Sheng Di Huang, suitable Xuan Shen, Nv Zhen Zi, Han Lian Cao, Bai Shao, Mai Dong, Wu Wei Zi for yin deficiency; add Mu Dan Pi, Shui Niu Jiao, Jiang Huang, Chi Shao, Zi Cao or Chuan Xiong, Hong Hua for blood stasis; add Tu Fu Ling, Pu Gong Ying, Zi Hua Di Ding, Jin Yin Hua, Ban Zhi Lian everyday for toxicity in spite of cold or heat.
