There are 30 outpatients whose age are between 19 and 69 years old; there are 27 cases of kidney stone, 3 cases of ureteral stone, 7 cases of combination of kidney stone and ureteral stone, 6 cases of both sides stone, among which, 16 cases have more than 2 pieces of stones, 10 cases also have hydronephrosis, only 1 case who was treated by ultrasonic waves but have no effect. There are 10 cases whose stone’s width <0.5cm, there are 20 cases whose stone’s width is 0.5-1.0cm. Treatment and observation method: self-built Huang Qi Jin Mao Tang with the ingredients of Huang Qi 30g, Jin Qian Cao 50g, Mao Xu Cao 50g, Shu Di Huang, Shi Jian Chuan, Ji Nei Jin, Zhi Ke 15g of each, Gan Cao 6g. We could modify the herbs according to syndrome differentiation in clinic: adding Bai Shao Yao, Yan Hua Suo, Gan Cao 10g respectively if there is kidney angina; adding Bai Mao Gen, Xiao Ji, Mu Dan Pi, Shu Di Huang should be changed to Sheng Di Huang if there is bloody urine; adding Che Qian Zi, Qu Mai, Ze Xie if there is difficulty in micturition; adding Hua Shi, Shi Wei, Tai Wu if there is stone near urethral meatus; adding Zhi Mu, Huang Bai if there is heat evident syndrome; adding Sha Ren, Mu Xiang if there are abdominal distention, discomfort in stomach etc stomach-intestinal symptoms after taking the decoction.
Result: The patients discharged the stones at the period of between 4 days and 87 days. Total effective rate is 90%, healed rate is 70%.
