Effects of Acupuncture on Quality of Life in Children with Spastic Cerebral PalsyPosted by: admin on Mar 08, 2008 - 02:50 AM100 spastic cerebral palsy children, 2 to 7 years old, were randomly assigned to two groups equally. The acupuncture group was treated with rehabilitation training using Bobath and Vojta physical training methods plus acupuncture (Shenting (GV24) needling through Baihui (GV20), GV20 needling through Naohu (GV17); motor area both sides, leg motor and sensory area both sides, balance area both sides; also upper limb palsy with Naoshu (SI10), Quchi (LI11) He-Sea Point, Jiquan (HT1), SJ5, Shousanli (LI10); lower limb palsy with Huantiao (GB30 ), 34, Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point, 41, Sanyinjiao (SP6); neck and low back weakness with GV’s acupoints and Hua Tuo Jia Ji). Only rehabilitation training using Bobath and Vojta physical training methods treated in the control group. 3-12 months arranged as a therapeutic course according to the state of illness.
