Release the Exterior
1 TASTE

Sweet ,bitter and cold

2 MERIDIANS

Lung and liver

3 FUNCTIONS

1. To expel wind and clear heat;

2. To clear heat in the liver and benefit the eyes.

4 INDICATIONS

1.Wind-heat exterior syndrome manifested as fever, headache, sore throat and cough. Mulberry root (Jie Geng), Mentha (Bo He) and Forsythia fruit (Lian Qiao) in the formula Sang Ju Yin.

2.Lung attacked by dryness and heat manifested as cough with Apricot seed (Xing Ren), Tendrilled fritillary bulb (Chrysanthemum) flower (Ju Hua), Cassia seed (Jue Ming Zi) and Plantain seed (Cheqinzi).

3. Deficient yin of the liver manifested as dizziness and blurred vision. Mulberry leaf (Sang Ye) is used with Ligustrum (Nu Zhen Zi) Wolfberry fruit (Gou Qi Zi) and Black sesame seed (Hei Zhi Ma).

5 DOSAGE

5-10 g
