Internal Medicine

The interior diseases can be treated at the exterior is one of the therapeutic methods of TCM. The good results have been obtained in treating angina pectoris with medicinal plaster fixed at acupoints. Of 54 cases of angina pectoris, 29 cases were type of yang deficiency, 25 cases were type of qi stagnation and blood stasis. Composition of the medicinal plaster: She Xiang, Chuan Xiong, San Qi, Xi Xin, etc. Application: After the acupoints selected, moxibustion was carried out at each of the points for 3-5 minutes till the local skin became slightly red. The medicinal plaster was then pressed and fixed at the acupoints and kept for 24 hours. The treatment was given twice a week, 6 times considered to be one course. Selection of acupoints: point group I, Danzhong (CV17) Front-Mu Point of the Pericardium, Yingchuang (ST16), Rugen (ST18), Yutang (CV18), Zigong (CV19), and bilateral PC 6 were used; and point group II, bilateral Xinshu (BL15), bilateral Geshu (BL17), Zhiyang (GV9) and bilateral Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point. Those two groups of points could be modified and applied alternatively.


Results: Improvement in symptoms, the total effective rate has been 85.2%. Improvement in ECG, the total improvement rate has been 51.3%. Improvement in nail fold microcirculation, the total improvement rate has been 80%.
