Regional Anatomy:

Location:
Lie supinely or sit upright; on the mid-sternal line, at the same level of the 3rd intercostal space.
Function:
Regulating qi and soothing the chest oppression, activating the collaterals and relieving pain.
Indications:
Pain in the chest, cough, asthma, and vomiting.
Prescription:
Combined use with ChizeLU5 (Chize (LU5)He-Sea Point) for treatment of bronchitis; and with ChengjiangCV24 (Chengjiang (CV24)) for treatment of vomiting of milk in infant.
Methods:
Insert the needle subcutaneously to 1-1.5 cun depth; needling response: local numbness and distention; moxibustion: using 3-5 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 15 min.
Note:
Don`t puncture deeply or lift and thrust.
