Self Massage

1. Prescription
Head and Face: Baihui (GV20), Taiyang, Xiaguan (ST7), Shangguan (GB3), Tinghui (GB2), Ermen (TE21), Tinggong (SI19), Luxi (TE19), Fengchi (GB20).
Back and Lumbar Region: Dazhui (GV14), Jianjing (GB21), Mingmen (GV4), Shenshu (BL23).
Chest and Abdomen: Qihai (CV6), Zhongwan (CV12) Front-Mu Point of the Stomach.
Arm: Hegu (LI4) Yuan-Source Point, Zhongzhu (KI15).
Leg: Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point, Fenglong (ST40) Luo-Connecting Point, Taichong (LR3) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Source Point, Qiuxu (GB40) Yuan-Primary Point, Sanyinjiao (SP6), Taixi(KI3) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Source Point.


2. Technique of Massage
2.1 Rub around ear for 1-2 minutes.
2.2 Tapping occiput region gently: both palms press tightly on both ear holes, four fingers of both hand towards back and place symmetrically horizontally on both sides of occiput, middle fingers stack up, one middle finger tap the other middle finger’s nail for 8-10 times, both hands operate respectively, you may hear drum sound.
2.3 Knead eardrum technique: both index fingers press tragus, or palm press ear hole, press and open for 40 times.
2.4 Press the three points in front of ear: thumb, index finger, middle finger press-knead GB2, TE21, SI19 in front of ear for about 0.5-1 minute. 
2.5 Index finger, middle finger press ST7, GB3 for about 0.5-1 minute.
Press-knead GV20 for 0.5-1 minute.
2.6 Press TE19 for 0.5-1 minute, finger-knead GB20 for 0.5-1 minute.
2.7 Hold neck and nape for 1-2 minutes, press GV14 for 1-2 minutes.
Press KI15 for 0.5-1 minute.
2.8 Finger wipe both sides of head from forehead to occiput region for 10 times. 
2.9 Modification according to syndrome differentiation:
2.9.1 Wind-heat attack type: knead Taiyang for 0.5-1 minute, press GB21 for 0.5-1 minute, press-knead LI4 for 0.5-1 minute.
2.9.2 Flare-up of liver fire type: press LR3 for 0.5-1 minute, press GB40 for 0.5-1 minute.
2.9.3 Phlegm fire stasis type: press-knead ST36 for 0.5-1 minute, press-knead ST40 for 0.5-1 minute.
2.9.4 Kidney essence deficiency type: rub GV4, BL23 for 20-30 times, press-knead CV6 for 0.5-1 minute, press-knead SP6 for 0.5-1 minute, press-knead KI3 for 0.5-1 minute.
2.9.5 Weakness of stomach-spleen type: knead-rub abdomen region for 2-3 minutes, knead press CV12 for 0.5-1 minute, press-knead ST36 for 0.5-1 minute.
