Infectious Diseases

The author developed "Huan Tan Qu Yu Tang"to treat acute jaundice hepatitis on 30 cases, and received the satisfied curative effect. According to the four diagnoses, the disease may be briefly summed up as excess damp and heat in spleen and stomach, stagnation of phlegm and stasis, excess heat in liver and gallbladder and bile outwards. The treatment: clear the heat and benefit damp to remove the pathogen; promote qi and active blood to support vital qi; eliminate phlegm to treat the jaundice. The prescription is  "Huan Tan Qu Yu Tang": Ban Xia, Chen Pi, Tu Bai Zhu, Fu Ling, Mai dong, Chuan Bei Mu, Dan Shen, Yu Jin, Jin Yin Hua, Ban Lan Gen, Jin Qian Cao, Yin chen, Chai Hu, Xiang Fu, Fo Shou, Che Qian Zi, Zhu Ling. The secondary herbs according to the symptoms: apply Huang Qin and Hong shen for Qi deficiency; Cao kou and Pei Lan for excess damp in spleen; Yuan hu, Chuan Lian Zi for radiate pain in liver area; Bie Jia, Zhi shan jia and Wen zhu for swelling of liver and spleen; Dan pi and Di Gu Pi for long-term low fever; Bai Mao Gen and Qian cao for Bleeding; Zhu Ru and Dai Zhe Shi for nausea; remove the Huang Lian and apply both Gan Jiang and Fu Zi for excess of coldness and dampness. The results and analysis: 28 cases are healed and 2 cases are improved.
