Clear Heat

1 TASTE
Sweet or tasteless and cold

2 MERIDIANS
Lung and Kidney

3 FUNCTIONS
1. To cool blood; 2. To clear heat in the lungs

4 INDICATIONS
1. Heat is the blood and deficient yin manifested as afternoon fever and night sweating. Wolfberry bark (Di Gu Pi) is used with Anemarrhena rhizome (Zhi Mu) and Biota tops (Cedbiye)

5 DOSAGE
6-15 g

6 COUTIONS
This herb is contraindicated cases with fever due to common cold or weakness of the spleen accompanied by Diarrhea.
