Severe Hepatitis is emergency illness caused by evolvement of acute jaundice hepatitis. Clinic type: 9 cases of acute severe hepatitis (Acute liver necrosis), 16 cases of hypo-acute severe hepatitis (hypo-acute liver necrosis), 7 cases of chronic severe hepatitis (chronic hepatitis hypo-acute liver necrosis). Treatment method: west medicine supporting method+ short course hormone therapy+ heteropathy, taking reinforcement of glucose, vitamin, kalium, natrium, ATP etc as main method. TCM treatment: clearing heat, resolving dampness, soothing the liver, draining gallbladder, cooling blood and nourishing yin, regulating qi and harmonizing the stomach are the primary method, this method can prevent the rise of jaundice, promote the rapid decreasing of jaundice, you should use prescription according to syndrome differentiation of dampness more than heat, heat more than dampness or excessive heat toxin in clinic, take Yin Chen Hao Tang, Yin Chen Wu Ling San as main prescription to clear heat and drain dampness, add herbs with the function of cooling blood and resolving stagnation, soothing liver, draining urine, regulating qi and harmonizing stomach in terms of symptoms. Basic prescription including Yin Chen, Long Dan Cao, Zhi Zi, Huang Qin, Da Huang, Bai Jiang Cao, Mu Dan Pi, Chi Shao Yao, Yu Jin, Qing Pi, Chuan Lian Zi, Fu Ling, parching Shan Zha, Mai Ya, Shen Qu, Da Zao. Adding Chai Hu, Jin Yin Hua, Lian Qiao if there is symptom of fever; adding Che Qian Zi, Ze Xie if there is symptom of difficult urination; adding Bai Ji, Mao Gen, San Qi if there is symptom of mouth and nasal bleeding.
Treatment result: the shortest period of herbs usage for the 32 cases been treated is about 20 days, the longest treatment period reaches 3 months and 24 patients (75%) get better, 7 patients died.
