Urine Bladder Meridian

Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue- abductor muscle of little toe-tendon of opponens muscle of little toe-short flexor muscle of little toe.
In the superficial layer, there are the lateral dorsal cutaneous nerve of the foot and the tributaries of the arch of the dorsal veins of the foot, In the deep layer, there are the proper dijital plantar nerve and the proper digital plantar arterues veuns.


Location:
Sit upright, hang down two shanks, with two feet touching the ground or lie supinely; at the dorso-ventral boundary and the lateral border of the foot, on the posterior border of the little head of the 5th metatarsal bone.
Function:
Relaxing the muscles and tendons, strengthening the waist and knee, tranquilizing the mind, and regulating ying and blood system.


Indications:
Nervous headache, dizziness, deafness, conjunctivitis, dacryostenosis, nebula, epilepsy, psychosis, lumbago, systremma, furuncles, megalgia after surgical operation.


Prescription:
Combined use with TianzhuBL10 (Tianzhu (BL10)) for treatment of occipital headache; with TaiyangEXHN5 (EX-HN5) for treatment of conjunctivitis; with FeiyangBL58(Feiyang (BL58)), and ChengjinBL56 (Chengjin (BL56)) for treatment of lumbago; and with YifengTE17 (Yifeng (TE17)) ShangguanGB3 (Shangguan (GB3)), HouxiSI3 (Houxi (SI3) Shu-Stream Point, The Eight Confluent Point), LuxiTE19 (Luxi (TE19)) for treatment of deafness.


Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly, 0.3-0.5 cun deep; needling response: local distension and pain; moxibustion: using 3-5 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 10 min.
