Hashimoto's thyroiditis is the autoimmune diseases. The author have treated 83 cases of Hashimoto's thyroiditis and received satisfying effect. Do paired observation with the 83 cases which are treated with western medicine simply and the report is as follows: in control group, apply thyroid tablet, oral taking for 40～80mg/d, and the treatment lasts for one month. In treatment group, apply Xiao Yao San Jia Wei: Chai Hu, Fu Ling, Dang Gui, Bai Zhu, Gan Cao, Bo He, Chuan Xiong, Raw Mu Li, Zhe Bei Mu, Xuan Shen and Lian Qiao. Grind drugs into powder, 6 g for once, and 3 times a day. For hyperactive of liver yang, finger and tongue tremble, add Gou Teng, Bai Ji Li to calm liver wind; for excess of stomach heat, polyphagia and bulimia, add raw Shi Gao, Zhi Mu to clear away stomach heat; for upset and dry mouth, add Mu Dan Pi and Zhi Zi. Results: the total effect of treatment group is 91.5%; the total effect of control group is 83.1%. There is significant difference between the both groups.
