The author has treated 176 cases of chronic pelvic inflammation by Dang Gui Shao Yao San combining with Yi Yi Fu Zi Bai Jiang San of “Synopsis of Golden Cabinet†with both internal and external application. All the patients in this group are all married and diagnosed by gynecologial and type-B ultrasonic examinations. Prescriptions: Dang Gui, Bai Shao, Fu Ling, raw Bai Zhu, Ze Xie, Chuan Xiong, Yi Yi Ren, Fu Zi and Bai Jiang Cao. One dose a day and 14 days treatment is one course. Add Yuan Hu and Wu Yao for severe abdominal pain; add Chuan Lian Zi and Mu Xiang for lower abdominal distention; add Da Huang for constipation; add Bai Bai and Shan Zhi Zi for leukorrhagia with yellowish color and foul smelling. Fry the drugs with yellow wine of 200ml, packaged it with cloth and apply on the lower abdomen.
Results: the total effective rate is 92.05%.
