The author uses self built "Zai Zhang Ling" with the main function of reinforcing kidney for the treatment of 19 cases of aplastic anemia and attained satisfying effect, the report will be recorded as following.
There are 15 chronic cases and 4 acute cases (changed from chronic cases to acute cases) in this group. All the patients have been treated in some hospitals and blood institute but did not get effect or the state of illness is repeated. Treatment method: in terms of most of patients who suffered from aplastic anemia has the symptoms of warm heat, fever, bleeding, anemia etc. The author recommends the principle of treating the "secondary" if the illness is acute, treating the "primary" if the illness is chronic, reducing fever first if there is fever, stopping bleeding first if there is bleeding, reinforcing deficiency later in order to achieve full effect.

Prescription for epistaxis (Taiyin lung meridian): raw Di Huang, Tian Dong, Huang Qin, roasted

Self built "Zai Zhang Ling" prescription: Dang Gui, Shan Zhu Yu, Cong Rong, Yin Yang Huo, Tu Si Zi (to decoct wrapped), Lu Rong (to put in an airtight can and boil it in a pot), Gou Qi, Mai Dong, Gui Jia (to decoct first), A Jiao (to melt with hot water and taking), raw Di Huang, Shou Wu, Bai Zhu, Shan Yao, Xian He Cao, roasted Gan Cao, Huang Qin. Modification in clinic: if there is infection in lung, intestine, mouth etc, adding the following herbs respectively: Huang Qin, Tian Dong, Lian Qiao; Huang Qin and Da Huang; Zhi Shi and Gao Ben.
Some patients with severe anemia, it is recommended to take the circumstances into consideration to take west medicine as glucocorticoid and blood filtering during the treatment period.
Treatment effect: within the 19 cases of aplastic anemia, 8 cases were cured basically; 4 cases get obvious improvement; 6 cases relieved; 2 cases have no effect. The total effective rate is 89.5%.
Experience: Aplastic anemia belongs to consumption disease, it is most easily attacked by wind evil, fever and bleeding are the clinic general symptoms, the treatment principle must be according to: allaying the fever first if there is fever, stopping bleeding first if there is bleeding. It can not be ignored or neglected.
