Nerve root cervical spondylosis is most commonly seen type in cervical diseases, there is typical nerve symptoms including radiating pain or soreness, distention and numbness on neck, shoulder and arms, even motor impairment with mostly on one side. Treatment methods: 1: Electroacupuncture: points are mainly Jiaji (Ex-B2) on affected side. Modified points: Jianzhen (SI9) [3] (SI 9), Shousanli (LI10) [4] (LI 10), Hegu (LI4) Yuan-Source Point [5] (LI 4) when affected region along hand-yangming merdian; Naohui (TE13) [6] (TE 13), Waiguan (TE5) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point [7] (TE 5), Zhongzhu (KI15) [8] (TE 3) when affected region along hand-shaoyang meridian; Tianzhong (SI 11), Jianzhen (SI 9), Houxi (SI3) Shu-Stream Point, The Eight Confluent Point [9] (SI 3) when affected region along hand-taiyang meridian; Qingling (HT2) [10] (HT 2), Shenmen (HT7) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Primary Point [11] (HT 7) when affected region along hand-shaoyin meridian; Fengchi (GB20) [12] (GB 20), Baihui (GV20) [13] (GV 20) when affected region along foot-taiyang meridian. Inserting needle, then connecting with electroacupuncture apparatus, applying continuous wave with pain tolerance of patient, treatment lasts 30 minutes per time and takes once every other day, 10 times become one course with one week interval between two courses. 2: Massage: applying massage after acupuncture treatment including rolling, holding and manipulation. 3: Traction: when massage finishes, we use traction on the neck. Treatment result: total effective rate is 93.3%.
