Traumatology and Orthopedics

There are totally 186 patients including 136 primary and 50 secondary. Treatment method: Points include Huantiao (GB30 ) (GB 30), Weizhong (BL40) He-Sea Point, Lower Confluent Point (BL 40), Yanglingquan (GB34) He-Sea Point, Influential Point of Tendon (GB 34); add Dachangshu (BL25) (BL 25) and Huatuojiaji (Ex-B2) for low back pain; add Xuanzhong (GB39) Influential Point of the Marrow (GB 39), Weiyang (BL39) Lower Confluent Point (BL 39) for radiating pain on lateral side of legs; add Yinwei ( BL 37), Chengshan (BL57) (BL 57) for radiating pain on posterior part of legs. Method: prone or recumbent position, insert needles quickly and get qi arrival, manipulate needles one minute with reducing by rotating, then radiating needling sensation down to feet, select four points to electroacupuncture with dense and loose wave, intensity depends on patient tolerance, stimulation lasts 30 minutes, once a day, 5 times are one course, 2 days break is between two courses. Evaluate effect after two courses. Result: total effective rate is 98.4%.
