There are 860 cases in this group, which are accord with the diagnosis principle of Rheumatoid Arthritis, (1) Early morning stiffness more than 1 hour; (2) Observed by the doctor there are 3 or more than 3 joints soft tissue swelling; (3) Wrist, metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joint swelling; (4) Symmetry of joint swelling, both sides joints simultaneously or successively emerge the same disease; (5) Rheumatoid nodules; (6) Rheumatoid factor positive; (7) X-Ray shows: Hands and (or) wrist’s articular cartilage appear erosions or bone sparse change around joints. Above items 1-4 must emerge for at least 6 weeks, the patients’ symptoms consist 4 items or more can be diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis. The prescription is Wan Bi Tong Pill oral intake. The prescription includes Tao Ren, Hong Hua, Dang Gui, Chuan Xiong, Ma Qian Zi, Wu Shao She, Lei Gong Teng, Ren Shen, Bai Shao, Qing Feng Teng, Yi Yi Ren, raw Di Huang, Bai Zhu, Huang Qi, Wei Ling Xian, Mu Xiang, Di Long, Gan Qi with the same dosage. 3 months are one course, oral taking for 3-5 courses. Treatment result: the total effective rate is 97.4%.
