Internal Medicine

Gastrointestinal neurosis is common disease in internal medicine. The symptoms include upper abdominal distention and fullness sensation, poor appetite, eructation, anxiety, constipation or Diarrhea, there is no organic change through medical examination. The writer utilized Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang with modification to treat 160 cases of gastrointestinal neurosis, all the patients were randomly divided into treatment group (80 cases) and contrast group (80 cases). Treatment method: Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang with Modification, the ingredients include Ban Xia, Huang Qin, Xiang Fu, Zhe Shi 10-20g respectively, Huang Lian, Gan Song, Chai Hu, Hou Pu, Ren Shen, Gan Cao 6-10g respectively, Zhi Ke, Suan Zao Ren 15-20g respectively, Da Zao 6 pieces. Adding Huo Xiang, Sha Ren if there is damp evil; adding Mai Dong, Bai Shao if there is yin deficiency; adding Chuan Shan Jia, San Qi if there is blood stagnation; adding Chuan Lian Zi, Yan Huo Suo if there is bitter taste and hypochondirac pain; adding Chuan Bei Mu, Wu Zei Gu if there is sour regurgitation; adding Da Huang if there is constipation; adding fry Shan Yao, Qian Shi if there is loose stool. As for contrast group: oral taking Oryzanol 20mg, 3 times per day; Diazepam Tablet 1.25-2.5mg, 3 times per day; adding Motilium Tablet if there is abdominal distention; adding Belladonna Tablets if there is abdominal pain; adding Loperamide if there is diarrhea. Both of the groups was given psychotherapeutics. 15 days are one course, observing the effect after 2 courses. Treatment effect: the total effective rate is 88.7% in treatment group and 62.5% in contrast group. There is obvious difference between the two groups (P<0.05).
