Endometriosis, the clinic symptoms includes dysmenorrheal, irregular menstruation, sterility, dyspareunia etc. The syndrome types according to differentiation are mentioned as following:
1. Invigorating flow of blood and resolving stagnation: Nei Yi I Hao Wan (Shi Xiao San with modification), Nei Yi II Hao Wan (Shao Fu Zhu Yu Tang with modification).
2. Reinforcing (warming) Kidney and dispersing stagnation: Zi Ni Nei Yi Xiao prescription (San Leng, E Zhu, Shui Zhi, Di Bie Chong, Chuan Shan Jia, Tu Si Zi, Yin Yang Huo etc).
3. Resolving stagnation (invigorating flow of blood) and activating abdomen: Zi Ni Nei Yi I Hao Wan ( Da Huang, Bie Jia, Hu Po etc, adding appropriate vinegar).
4. Regulating qi and resolving stagnation: Zi Su Tong Yi Jian (Zi SU, Wu Yao, raw Xiang Fu, Wu Ling Zhi, Yan Hu Suo, Gan Jiang etc).
5. Warming menstruation and dispersing stagnation: Zi Ni Yi Wei Capsule (Zhe Bei Mu, Shan Ci Gu, Xue Jie, Dan Shen, Bie Jia, Xia Ku Cao).
6. Promoting qi and resolving stagnation: Nei Yi I Hao (Dang Shen, Huang Qi, Da Huang, Bie Jia etc); Kang Nei Yi Tang (Huang Qi, Dang Shen, Bai Zhu, Tao Ren, Hong Hua, Yin Yang Huo etc).
Herbal periodic treatment method:
1. Using promoting qi and nourishing blood during late stage of menstruation, resolving stagnation, prescription is Gui Shao Di Huang Tang with modification (fry Dang Gui, Shu Di Huang, Chuan Xiong, Chi Shao, Bai Shao, Shan Yao etc); taking reinforcing kidney and soothing liver, resolving stagnation and dispersing blockage during interval period of menstruation, the prescription is self built Wen Hua Tang (San Leng, E Zhu, prepared Ru Mo, Yin Yang Huo, Lu Jiao tablet etc); using moving qi and stopping pain, resolving stagnation and dispersing blockage during menstruation, the prescription is Jia Wei Shi Xiao San (Pu Huang, San Leng, E Zhu, prepared Ru Xiang, Mo Yao etc).
2. Taking discharging excess as main method before menstruation, using invigorating flow of blood, resolving stagnation, regulating qi and stopping pain herbs, avoiding stagnation forming and dispersing it, the prescription is Xiao Tong Tang (fry Dang Gui, Chuang Xiong, Dan Shen, Mo Yao, Wu Ling Zhi, raw Pu Huang etc); using invigorating flow of blood, dispersing obstruction and blockage herbs during menstruation in order to guide the menstruation, assuring qi-blood unobstructed, giving the outlet for evils, the prescription is Hua Mo Tang (raw Pu Huang, Wu Ling Zhi, San Leng, E Zhu, Ru Xiang, Mo Yao etc); taking both offensive and reinforcement methods after menstruation, the prescription is Yi Qi Tiao Chong Tang (Huang Qi, Shu Di Huang, Jiao Bai Zhu, ji Xue Teng, Mo Han Lian, Nu Zhen Zi).
