Treatment Experience of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) of children Given by Acupuncture [1]

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) of childhood, the clinical symptoms include hyperactivity, cannot concentrate, lacking patience, emotions change fast, hardly restraining oneself, being easy to lose temper, being not disciplined,  keeping on play tricks, mostly with poor performance in study.  The disease prognosis is not optimistic. The symptoms remain in the whole life for some patients, and their studies are delayed. There are 32 cases selected. Treatment method: Si Shen Cong, Shenting (GV24) [3], both Toulinqi (GB15) [4], both Touwei (ST8) [5], both Hegu (LI4) Yuan-Source Point [6]. Adding Sanyinjiao (SP6) [7] if there is kidney deficiency, adding H7 and K3 if there is deficiency of heart and kidney, adding Xinshu (BL15) [8] and Pishu (BL20) [9] if there is heart and spleen deficiency, adding Fenglong (ST40) Luo-Connecting Point [10] and Quchi (LI11) He-Sea Point [11] if there is phlegm heat.

Treatment result: 10 cases have some effect, 18 cases have obvious effect, 4 cases have no effect, and the total effective rate is 87.5%.
