Research Methodology

In this article, the writer's own made Impedance measurement apparatus is used. 10 subjects are selected to be tested by 4 methods of needing, the writer conducts a preliminary research on the influence of diverse needling methods on the meridian impedance, the result shows that each method has effect on decreasing the meridian impedance. Observed part: Jianshi (PC5) Jing-River Point to Quze (PC3) He-Sea Point of left meridian of Hand-JUE YIN are inspected.

Result and discussion: the following conclusions can be obtained:
Needling Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point, using lifting reduction powerful stimulation and needling weak needling stimulation respectively, significant difference exists in the influence of needling on the impedance of the skin of forearm. The influence of powerful stimulation is greater than that of weak stimulation.
Using twist and pinch method, powerful stimulation and weak stimulation are applied respectively on PC6, significant difference exists in the influence of needling on the impedance of the skin of forearm. The influence of powerful stimulation is greater than that of weak stimulation.
After needling, the impedance of the forearm skin of Hand-JUE YIN meridian presents the decline trend among the various methods.
Lifting reduction method represents more obvious effect than that of twist and pinch method.
For each method, the reaction of the subject differs.
When the needle retaining is operated, the impedance begins to upswing after a period of time, the needling retaining is terminated until the impedance upswing is seen, the doctor needs to needle once more if the continuous needling retaining is concerned.

Key words: needling manipulation, the influence of meridian impedance
