Writer has treated many sequela caused by cerebrovascular diseases with long time, and applied needling local and distal points to treat 40 cases of aphasia caused by tongue stiffness and obtained good effect. Treatment method: Local point is three points of tongue including Lianquan (CV23) (Lianquan (CV23)) and points 0.5 cun lateral to Lianquan (CV23), combined with bleeding on Jinjin (Ex-HN12), Yuye (Ex-HN13); Distal point is Yongquan (KI1) Jing-Well Point (K1), Sanyinjiao (SP6) (Sanyinjiao (SP6)). Tell patient to take sitting position, bleeding on Jinjin (Ex-HN12), Yuye (Ex-HN13) with 1ml blood and once every other day, washing mouth with salty water after bleeding, then tell patient to take lying position with face up, needing three points of tongue with reinforcing method by small amplitude, low frequency and slight rotating; applying even method on Yongquan (K1), Sanyinjiao (SP6). Needling sensation depends on tolerance of patient. Retaining of needles is 30 minutes, 10 days treatment is one course, and taking three days break between two courses and continuing three courses.
Result: total effective rate is 90%.
