Traumatology and Orthopedics

Writer randomly selects 50 patients with mixed cervical spondylosis and applies Tong An Tang and massage for the treatment ( observation group ), and chooses another 50 patients only treated by massage ( control group ). Treatment method: observation group is treated by Tong An Tang and massage. 1: Tong An Tang includes Liang Mian Zhen, Bai Shao, Long Gu, Gan Cao, Dan Shen, Tian Qi, Jiang Xiang. Modification: add Hong Hua, Bai Hua She She Cao for stagnation and swollen; add Gou Teng, Tian Ma for dizziness; add Niu Xi and Ze Xie for hypertension; add Sheng Ma, bei Huang Qin for hypotension; add Lu Jiao Jiao for weakness and soreness on four limbs; add pao Chuan Shan Jia for disease with deep position. Method: water decoction, one piece a day. 2: Massage method: apply rotating pulling and lateral lifting, pushing for mild dislocation of cervical vertebrae; apply pushing, relaxing and pounding for cervical spondylosis without vertebrae dislocation, massage is done with once every other day, 3 to 5 times become one course, patients continue 2 to 3 courses. Control group is only treated with massage that is same method with massage on observation group. Result: effective rate in observation group is 96%,  in control group is 94%. There is significant difference in two groups.
