Formula: Huang Qi 20～200g, Dan Shen 10～30g, Yan Hu Suo 10～20g, Di Long 10～30g.
Indications: venous thrombus in all parts of the body, such as thrombus of arteria and venous centralis retinae, cerebral infarction, myocardial infarction, arteria and venous thrombus of limbs, etc. This formula is applied for thrombus caused by qi deficiency and blood stasis, manifesting with pale complexion, numbness, pain, or hemiplegia, fatigue, blurred vision, palpitation, spontaneous perspiration, loose stool, pale and dark tongue with white and moist coating, deep, thready and slow pulse. It is treated by benefiting qi, activating blood, dispelling stasis and opening meridians. Analysis of herbs: Huang Qi tonifies qi, raises yang and functions on enhancing immunity of the organism, benefiting urination, anti-ageing, protecting liver and reducing blood pressure; it is used as monarch drug. Dan Shen activates blood circulation, disperses stasis, cools blood, relieves swelling and restlessness, calms down spirit, dilates coronary artery, increases coronary blood flow, improves myocardial ischemia, infarction and cardiac function, regulates rhythm of heart, dilates peripheral vessel, improves microcirculation, and functions on anti-freezing, restrain of platelet aggregation and thrombosis; it is used as minister drug. Di long clears away heat, eliminates wind, opens meridians, relieves pain and dissolves thrombosis; it is used as adjuvant drug. Yan Hu Suo increases blood flow of coronary vessels, clams down spirit and relieves pain; it is the key drug to treat blood, making all the herbs arriving at vessels, and used as guiding drug. The satisfying curative effects have been received by the combination of all the herbs through 13 years clinical application.
