There are 160 cases of chronic prostatitis who are all outpatients in our hospital, the patients’ age is between 18 to 56, their disease histories is from 3 months to 10 years. The patients are randomly divided into treatment group and contrast group with 80 cases in each group. Treatment method: using San Cao Tong Lin Tang for the treatment. Prescription: Yi Mu Cao 30g, Bai Hua She She Cao 30g, Bai Jiang Cao 30g, Lian Qiao 30g, Dan Shen 20g, Chi Shao Yao 20g, Wang Bu Liu Xing 15g, Ju He 15g, Li Zhi He 15g, Wu Gong 2 pieces, Huai Niu Xi 15g, Tu Si Zi 10g, Bai He 15g, He Huan Pi 15g, Yi Yi Ren 15g, Bi Xie 15g. For the contrast group: oral taking Fu Fang Shi Wei tablet, 3 times per day, 4 tablets each time. The treatment courses of these two groups are 2 months. During the treatment period, alcohol, spicy and pungent foods are prohibited, other medicine for chronic prostatitis should be stopped, the treatment effects of these two groups are observed.
Result: the total effective rates of the two groups are 90% in treatment group and 76% in contrast group.
