Pediatrics

The author has treated intractable premature ventricular beats due to vital myocarditis, and received good effects. In the 28 cases, the premature ventricular beats show recurrent, spontaneous generation, bigeminy or trigeminy. All the patients have the ECG changes of recurrent, spontaneous premature ventricular beats. The syndromes are palpitation, sigh, short breathing, hyperhidrosis, oppressed chest, fatigue, pale complex, feverish sensation on palm, abdominal distention, loose stool, red and flabby tongue with teeth mark, thin and peeled tongue coating, knotted and intermittent pulse. Treatments: Tai Zi Shen 10~15g, Mai Dong 8~12g, Wu Wei Zi 6~10g. Add Ruo Shen, Lu Xian Cao and prepared Gan Cao for palpitation and sigh; add Huang Qi and Fu Xiao Mai for qi deficiency and hyperhidrosis; add Bai Zi Ren and Zao Ren for restless night sleeping; add Yu Zhu and Bai Wei for feverish sensation over the five centers; add Yu Jin, Dan Shen and Yi Mu Cao for oppressed chest due to blood stasis; add Da Fu Pi and Fu Ling for abdominal distention and loose stools; add Bai Zhu, Gu Ya and Bu Zha Ye for flabby tongue with tooth mark and peel tongue coating; add Xuan Shen and Ban Lan Gen for sore throat and giant follicle hyperplasia; add Gui Zhi and Wan Nian Qing Gen for knotted and intermittent pulse.

Results: the total effective rate is 85.7%.
