Internal Medicine

Mr. Zhou points out that bleeding diseases differ in deficiency fire and excess fire, qi deficiency and qi excess, most of them are deficiency syndromes, and last for a long time. Therefore, bleeding syndrome mainly manifests deficiency fire and qi deficiency, especially qi deficiency. "Blood can not be stored when qi is deficiency", thus bleeding due to qi deficiency can be treated by supporting vital qi, consolidating origin, tonifying qi and controlling blood and remarkable effects are obtained. Allergic purpura and thrombopenic purpura are common hemorrhagic diseases of blood system. For allergic purpura, Mr. Zhou advocates to clear toxic heat, cool blood, stop bleeding, tonify kidney, strengthen spleen, benefit qi and control blood. For thrombopenic purpura, he advocates to clear toxic heat, cool blood, stop bleeding in acute stage or when bleeding gets obvious; tonify both liver and kidney, benefit qi and strengthen spleen, with stopping bleeding in chronic periods or when the bleeding is not obvious.

Some of allergic purpura and thrombopenic purpura are caused by infections, and the main infection are upper respiratory tract infection and antiaditis. The toxic heat hurts collaterals, blood is out of control, and then leads to hemacelinosis and bleeding in other regions. It is better to clear toxic heat, cool blood and stop bleeding. Mr. Zhou made Jie Du Liang Xue Tang by himself, and the prescription is Yin Hua, Lian Qiao, Zhi Zi, Huang Qin, Tu Fu Ling, Sheng Di Huang, Chi Shao, Mu Dan Pi, Nu Zhen Zi, Han Lian Cao, Zi Cao, Bai Mao Gen, Xian He Cao, Sheng Gan Cao, Da Zao and Shui Niu Jiao.
