Gastric mucosa prolapse refers to that mucosa of stomach antrum prolapses into to pyloric canal due to over loose of the mucosa and causes upper abdominal pain, pyloric obstruction and upper gastrointestinal bleeding, etc. Sink of middle energizer qi and weakness of raising qi lead to prolapse of stomach and effect on managing downward transportation of food. It is characterized by origin deficiency and superficiality excess. Clinical manifestations are not only upward perversion of stomach, such as stomachache, belching and vomit, etc, but also deficiency of spleen, such as stuffiness in chest and abdomen, poor appetite, fatigue and loose stools, etc. the author made Shen Xian Jiang Ni Tang to treat this disease by ascending and descending qi, and received good effects.

Prescription of Shen Xian Jiang Ni Tang: Huang Qi, Zhi Shi, Wu Mei, Dang Shen, Bai Zhu, Shen Ma, Chai Hu, Fo Shou and Zhi Gan Cao. Modify the prescription according to the sydromes: add Ban Xia and Huo Xiang for severe vomiting; add Mu Xiang and Yan Hu Suo for abdominal pain; add Gu Ya and Mai Ya for dyspeptic retention; add Huang Qi, Zhi Shi and Wu Mei for pyloric obstruction; add He Ye Tan and Xian He Cao for bleeding.
