All of patients here have more or less clinical symptoms including weakness on the low back, pain on lower abdomen, leukorrhea, hard mass sensation on lower abdomen that can not be eliminated by pressing and kneading, fixed pain sensation that refuses pressing, sometimes fever, also symptoms become worse before and after menstruation. Every patient has got definite diagnosis of chronic inflammation of pelvic cavity given by western medicine through examination, B ultrasound etc.
Treatment method: Treatment group: we make prescription by ourselves that include Chi Shao Yao, Bai Shao Yao, Chuan Xiong, Xiang Fu, San Leng, E Zhu, Dan Shen, Chuan Lian Zi, Mu Xiang, Sha Ren, Yuan Hu Suo and Gan Cao. One bag with 2 times a day should be performed. Modification: adding Jin Yin Hua, Lian Qiao, Tu Fu Ling, Di Ding, Hu Zhang, raw Yi Yi Ren for retention of dampness and heat leading to fullness on the chest, poor appetite, leukorrhea with foul smell and yellow color urine; adding Wu Ling Zhi, Xiao Hui Xiang, Pao Jiang, Rou Gui for cold and qi stagnation resulting in cold pain on lower abdomen, small amount of menstruation with purple color and clots, dilute and clear leukorrhea; adding Bie Jia, Gui Ban, Sheng Di Huang, Mu Dan Pi, Qing Hao, Mao Zhua Cao, Bai Bu for yin deficiency and blood heat leading to heavy sensation on lower abdomen, lassitude, afternoon fever, night sweating, hot sensation on hands and feet palms. Control Group: Jin Ji Tablets with Yun Feng Brand made by Wu Zhou Pharmaceutical Factory in Guang Xi province, three times a day, six tablets a time, 30 days can be one course.
Treatment result: in treatment group, 34 cases are cured, 18 cases are effective and 0 case is no effect; in control group, 12 cases are cured, 18 cases are effective and 16 cases are no effect. So effects in two groups have significant different.
