Observation of Effect of Treatment of 120 Cervical Vertigo Cases Given by Three Points of Cervical [1]

The writer treats 120 patients with cervical vertigo mainly through needling the three points of cervical, the satisfactory effect is achieved. The 120 out-patients are randomly divided into treatment group (60 patients) and contrast group (60 cases). For the treatment group, the prone position or sitting position is selected, the points are three points of cervical (both Wangu (SI4) Yuan-Primary Point [3], Fengchi (GB20) [4], Tianzhu (BL10) [5]), both Jia Ji points of C5, C7, both Jianjing (GB21) [6], one side Quchi (LI11) He-Sea Point [7], Hegu (LI4) Yuan-Source Point [8], Lieque (LU7)Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point [9], Baihui (GV20) [10]. Adding Taichong (LR3) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Source Point [11] if hyperactivity of liver yang is concerned, adding Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point [12] if there is deficiency of Qi and Blood, adding Fenglong (ST40) Luo-Connecting Point [13] if there exist retention of phlegmatic dampness, retaining the needle for 30 minutes, using moxibustion on both GB20 and GB21. 1 time per day, 10 times is one course. Apply traditional message for the contrast group.
Treatment result: in the treatment group, 26 patients are healed, 19 cases have obvious effect, 10 cases become better, 2 patients have not effect, the total effective rate is 96.4%. Among the contrast group, there are 11 cases be healed, 23 cases have obvious effect, 11 cases become better, 15 cases without effect, the total effective rate is 76.9%.
