Treatment on 40 Cases of Chronic Hepatitis B Given by Herbal Yi Gan San [1]

The writer screens out herbal Yi Gan San through large number of clinical observation, the prescription is modified according to clinical symptoms, it can be used for all kinds of syndrome with obvious effect, it is also convenient for taking. We divided all the cases into 2 groups randomly; there are 40 cases in treatment group and 32 cases in control group. Therapeutic methods: using Yi Gan San in treatment group. The prescription includes Chai Hu [3], Bai Shao [4] Yao, Zhi Ke, Chen Pi [5], Yu Jin [6], Chi Shao [7] Yao, Dan Shen [8], Dang Gui [9], Bai Zhu [10], Fu Ling [11], Hu Zhang, Ban Lan Gen [12], Mu Dan Pi [13], Wu Wei Zi [14] etc. Adding Xiang Fu [15], Chuan Xiong [16], Chuan Lian Zi [17] with name of Yi Gan San No.1  if there is distention pain in liver region; adding Long Dan Cao [18], Zhi Zi [19], Huang Lian [20] with name of Yi Gan San No.2 if there are bitter taste, irritability; adding Hou Pu, Sha Ren [21], Huo Xiang [22], Cang Zhu [23] with name of Yi Gan San No.3 if there are poor appetite, nausea and vomiting; adding Yin Chen, Da Huang [24], Che Qian Zi [25] with name of Yi Gan San No.4 if there is jaundice; adding large dosage of Bai Zhu, adding Huang Qi [26], Ren Shen [27] with name of Yi Gan San No.5 if there are loose stool, distention sensation in abdomen, fatigue; adding San Leng [28], E Zhu [29], prepared Bie Jia [30] with name of Yi Gan San No. 6 if there is liver tumefaction. All the prescriptions above were grinded respectively, taking 6g every time, 3 times per day. The patients in control group were taken intravenous injection with Ganlixin 30ml, vitamin C 3g, 1 time per day, 30 days are one course. Two groups are treated for 2-3 courses.

Therapeutic effect: total effective rate in treatment group is 90%, total effective rate in control group is 62.5%.
