Skin-subcutaneous tissue-frontal belly of occipitofrontal muscle or epicranial aponeurosis-subaponeurotic loose connective tissue.
There are the supraorbital nerve and the branches or tributaries of the supraorbital artery and vein in this area.
Location:
Upright sitting with one's eyes looking forward horizontally; 1 cun above the anterior hairline, vertically above pupil.
Function:
Eliminating wind and tranquilizing the mind.
Indications:
Headache, vertigo, eye diseases, common cold, mental disorder, and hysteria.
Methods:
Insert the needle subcutaneously to 0.3-0.5 cun deep; needling response: local distension and heaviness; moxibustion: using 1-3 moxa-cones.
