Qing Ying Wan is compound herbal drug with functions of clearing heat and eliminating fire, removing stagnation and stopping pain. We used Qing Ying Wan to treat 158 cases of hyperactivity of thyroid with application of random double blindness contrast. There are totally 318 cases in this research with 158 treated by Qing Ying Wan. Ingredients: Xia Ku Cao 100g, Fa Ban Xia 100g, Fu Ling 150g, Qing Pi 100g etc with watered pill preparation, meanwhile combination with intake of tapazole maintaining dosage. Control group: 160 cases treated by ordinary drug for hyperactivity of thyroid, tapazole, gradually decreased to maintaining dosage like above, both groups were treated three months with one course every month, then followed treatment if necessary within 12 to 24 months, make clinical observation of symptoms before and after treatment, mark of symptoms and reaction after treatment in both groups. Result: total effective rate in treatment group is 90.73%; that of control group is 85%, so total effective rate is obviously better than that of control group.
