Herpes zoster is acute inflammation on the skin caused by herpes virus, it often happens on chest and back, face and lumbar region with distribution like belt. In the beginning, there are pricking pain, red color on the affected skin with body symptoms including fever, lassitude and poor appetite. There are blisters with size like mung bean or soybean. There are total 30 patients in this group.
Treatment method: tapping zoster on affected region by plum blossom needle until to red color or bleeding, then cupping on same region to cause bleeding with dark color blood, retaining cup 10 to 15 minutes, finally applying TDP heat lamp on affected region with 30 minutes. Treatment is once every other day. Suggest patients to take light diet without spicy food.
Treatment result: 23 is cured after one week (76.7%); 28 is cured after two weeks (93.3%); 2 is effective (6.7%), total effective rate is 100%.
