Hypertension (EH) is one of the common etiological factors for organic erectile dysfunction (ED). We choose 216 male patients whose ages are between 41 and 58 years old, all the patients are from our hypertension clinic department and have symptom of ED. The patients were randomly divided into Liu Wei Di Huang Wan group (treatment group) and Acertil group (contrast group), 108 cases in each group. Treatment method: the patients in both groups stopped all the antihypertensive drugs and all the drugs which might cause ED in 2 weeks before treatment. As for treatment group, patients were given Liu Wei Di Huang Wan, 3g each time and 3 times per day, continuously taking for 12 weeks. As to contrast group, patients were given Perindopril Tablets (Acertil), 4mg each time, 1 time per day, continuously taking for 12 weeks. Patients in both groups can not use medicine that may result in sexual function. All the 216 patients selected (EH combined with ED) were confirmed as vascular organic ED due to hypertension through monitoring of night-time spontaneous erectile and determination of Doppler flowmetry PBI. Observation result shows that Liu Wei Di Huang Wan has evident function of blood pressure reduction, in the meantime, along with the reduction of patients’ blood pressure and the improvement of systemic hemodynamics, the increase of arterial blood supply to the penis and the cavernosal blood flow, the patients’ ED symptom relieves obviously, this function of relieving ED symptom in treatment group evidently outbalances that of contrast group.
