In order for the exploration of the kidney protection function of Liu Wei Di Huang Wan for hypertension patients, we contrasted this Chinese patent medicine with Captopril and got good effect, the report is described in the following: diagnosing 98 patients with hypertension 1-2 grade according to the standard of WHO, all the patients were randomly divided into Liu Wei Di Huang Group (treatment group) and Captopril Group (contrast group), 49 patients per group. The patients be selected should stop all the medicine for 2 weeks, as for treatment group, the patients took Liu Wei Di Huang Wan, 2 times per day, together with Captopril 12.5mg, 2 times per day; as to contrast group, the patients merely took Captopril 12.5mg, 2 times per day.
Result: the analysis of the effect of these two groups: the total effective rate are 93.3% and 85.8% in treatment group and contrast group respectively, there is obvious difference in effect and total effect between the two groups.
