Chiropractic therapy is one of a unique therapy of Chinese medicine, and a part of Tuina. The manipulations of Pushing, Grasping, Lifting, Pressing, Kneeding, Rubbing, Shaking and twirling are applied on Governor Vessel and the acupoints of bilateral sides. There are 26 cases in Chiropractic therapy group and 24 cases in chalybeate group. Observation index: complexion, appetite, physical strength, stools, color of lip and tongue, pulse or fingerprint (integral of symptoms) before and after treatment; hemoglobin and absorptivity of intestine xylose before treatment or one and four weeks later after treatment; specially-assigned person is ranged to follow up in clinic. Cured: after one month treatment, hemoglobin turns normal; excellent: hemoglobin increases by 2g; improved: hemoglobin increases by 1g; failed: hemoglobin raises less than 1g. Treatment: Chiropractic therapy skill is given by infantile chiropractic therapy department; it is applied once a day and the course is one month. In the chalybeate group, Ferrous fumarate tablets are applied; 0.2g for once and 2-3 times a day; oral taking for one month. Results: compartment of total curative effects of both groups: the extent of hemoglobin increasing in both chiropractic therapy group and chalybeate group shows unobvious difference. In order to do further research on curative effect of anemia treated with chiropractic therapy, observe the curative effects of both group and the change of absorptivity of intestine xylose. Result: before the treatment, the absorptivity of intestine xylose rate is low in both groups, and there is no difference in the both groups. After the treatment, the rate increases obviously in chiropractic therapy and parallel with the curative effect. It indicates that the function on promoting absorptivity of intestine xylose in chiropractic therapy group is better than the chalybeate group’s.
