Shen Qi Wan is from "Jin Kui Yao lue", it is called "Jin Kui Shen Qi Wan" also. The clinical application of Shen Qi Wan in modern times is: (1) chronic glomerulonephritis, chronic urinary tract infections and prostatitis or hyperplasia; (2) age-related cataract; (3) diabetes; (4) hypertension; (5) chronic bronchitis; (6)chronic pyelonephritis, adrenal cortical hypofunction; (7)  children summer heat, irregular menstruation, leukorrhea, gastroptosis, simple obesity, bradycardia, ulcer, nose bleeding, acral-arterial spasm (Raynaud's disease), and prednisone-induced psychosis, vertigo, hyperhidrosis.
Adding Che Qian Zi, Niu Xi in Shen Qi Wan, then it becomes to Ji Sheng Shen Qi Wan, and will be applied to:(1) dropsical disease (ascites due to cirrhosis, post-natal dropsical); (2) phlegm (lung TB); (3) vertigo (hypertension); (4), edema (chronic nephritis); (5) prostatitis; (6) bronchial asthma; (7) urticaria due to cold; (8) high fever; also, osteoporosis; age-related prostatic hypertrophy; atrophic gastritis; habitually cold with chronic urticaria; menopause syndrome; chronic colitis; infertility with rare menses.
