The normal autumn pulse is slightly floating with stomach qi. If pulse is excessively floating with scant stomach qi, the lungs suffer. If only floating without stomach qi, it is fatal. If string-like pulse accompanies floating pulse, the disease will occur in the spring. If extremely string-like, the disease will occur at once. The genuine qi of the zang-organs is as high as the lungs, and the lungs move the nutritive blood, defensive qi, yin and yang.
