Internal Medicine

All the 130 cases are respectively accord with 4 items among the items listed below:
1. More than 1 hour of morning stiffness (not less than 6 weeks);
2. 3 or more than 3 joints’ tumefaction (not less than 6 weeks);
3. Symmetrical joints’ tumefaction (not less than 6 weeks);
4. Wrist, metacarpophalangeal and proximal joints’ tumefaction (not less than 6 weeks);
5. Subcutaneous rheumatoid nodules;
6. Hand X-ray changes (at least osteoporosis and joint space narrow);
7. Rheumatoid factor positive (titer> 1:120);

Treatment method: taking Xue Teng Qu Bi Tang as basic prescription: ji Xue Teng, Huang Qi, Rou Cong Rong, Dang Gui, prepared Chuan Wu, Gui Zhi, Fang Feng, Ru Xiang, Bai Shao Yao, Qing Jiao, Yi Mu Cao, Wu Shao She. Adding raw Shi Gao, Zhi Mu it there is more heat. Adding Gui Zhi, Xi Xin if there is more cold syndrome. For cold complicated with heat, adding He Shou Wu, Xi Xian Cao, 1 month is one course. Result: total effective rate is 97.7%.
