Internal Medicine

Treatment effect of hypertension rests with the criticality of susceptibility of cardio-cerebral vascular disease, the rate of blood pressure lowing or the level of blood pressure control. Simple blood pressure lowing can not completely protect and reverse target organ damage, therefore, we must attach importance to cardiovascular risk factors which exist together with other symptoms and can be reverted, such as metabolic syndrome. We randomly divided the patients with metabolic syndrome into 2 groups as 80 cases in treatment group and 20 cases in contrast group. Treatment method: patients in both groups take 25mg captopril tablets each time, 3 times a day after every meal, adding Zi Yin Qing Xin Tang in treatment group, 1 decoction each day, 2 times a day. Zi Yin Qing Zin Tang ingredients: Dang Sheng, Huang Qi, Mai Men Dong, Nu Zhen Zi, Yu Zhu, Fu Ling, Mu Dan Pi, Chi Shao Yao, Bai Shao Yao, Dan Shen, Ze Xie.

Result: 1. Blood pressure: after 1 week, there is some decrease in both groups, and obvious difference can be witnessed between two groups. 2 weeks later, comparing with contrast group, the blood pressure in treatment group still decline, obvious difference can be witnessed between two groups.
2. Laboratory examination: for contrast group, waistline, triglyceride, HDL-C, fasting blood glucose have not any changes before treatment and after treatment. For treatment group, there is evident difference between before treatment and after treatment.
