There are 68 children patients who are belong to clinic children’s department, among which 32 cases are suffer from upper respiratory tract infection, 20 cases are bronchitis, 16 cases are pneumonia. Treatment method: basic prescription: Shen Su San Niu Tang with modification: Dang Shen 10g, Zi SU 6g, Chan Tui 5g, decocting with water and taking for 3 times a day, 1 prescription per day. Modification: add Tian Zhu Huang 6g, Dan Nan Xing 6g if there is large amount of sputum; add Kuan Dong Hua 5g, Bei Mu 5g if there is severe cough; add Zao Xiu 10g if there is severe heat; add Sha Ren 5g, Shan Zha Qu 10g if there is poor appetite; adding Yu Hu Die 5g if there is rustiness; add Sha Shen 10g, Mai Dong 10g if there is yin deficiency; the dosage for infant should be reduced. Treatment result: there are 38 cases are healed, 21 cases have obvious effect, 8 cases are improved, 1 case has no effect.
