Treatment on 338 Cases of Gastric Ulcer, Duodenum Ulcer and Chronic Gastritis Given by External Application of Shan La JiaoPosted by: admin on Nov 04, 2008 - 09:47 PMDiagnosis standard: diet related recurrent chronic stomachache history which can not be healed for a long-term, it is diagnosed as gastric or duodenum ulcer and chronic gastritis by X-ray barium examination or gastroscopy. The herb’s name: Shan La Jiao ( Ranunculus chinensis Bunge ). We take the whole plant as the herb in summer, its root in autumn, smashing it until becoming mud state (avoiding to contact iron container), mixing with 10% medical Vaseline, making ointment, enclosed storage in disinfectant glass bottle, preserving in cool place. Pasting method: preparing plastic tube ferrule with diameter of 3cm, fixing it on transparent adhesive paper, inserting 10g ointment in the tube ferrule until it is full but not spill out. Past the ointment on most sensitive area of abdominal region, cover with sterile gauze, and fix it with adhesive plaster. Remove the paste after 24 hours, disinfect the skin with 75% alcohol, pierce the bleb by sterile pinhead and discharge the liquid, wrap the skin with gauze. Attention: you can feel itch sensation after use the ointment for 30 minutes, slight burning pain after 3 hours, there is congestion and bubble on the skin, pores enlarge, gastric peristalsis speed up, abdominal pain and distention symptoms are gradually relieved. 12 hours later the small bleb appears, the bleb can be disposed when it becomes large after 24 hours. The prescription can not be used if the patient’s ulcer is bleeding, we have to wait until the bleeding stops. The sterilization must be strict controlled, there is possibility of skin infection if the bleb has been torn. Result: among 338 cases, 250 cases were healed, 68 cases had obvious effect, 15 cases had effect, 5 cases without effect, and a total effective rate is 98.5%.
