All the 40 patients in this group are outpatients of our hospital, and excluded from pregnancy, tumor, inflammation or other systemic diseases, and diagnosed as dysfunctional uterine bleeding. They are between 12～53 years old and the bleeding lasts for 12 days～5 years. Prescriptions: Bu Pi Zi Shen Tang (self-made). Components: Dang Shen, Bai Zhu, Huang Qi, Fu Ling, Shan Zhu Yu, Nu Zhen Zi, Han Lian Cao, Di Yu Tan, Ce Bai Tan, Liu Ji Nu and Xiang Fu. Add fried Shan Zhi for blood heat; add Chai Hu for liver stagnation; and add Du Zhong for kidney yang deficiency. Treatment results: 36 cases are cured (no recurrence of followed-up for 6 months after bleeding stops); 4 cases are markedly effective (followed-up for 6 months after bleeding stops, abnormal menstruation occasionally, the syndromes are milder than the former time). 13 cases’ bleeding stops after taking one dose drugs, 22 cases’ bleeding stops after taking 3 doses, and 5 cases’ bleeding stops after taking 6 doses.
