The other methods of cupping

Cooking cup: this method is used for bamboo or wood cup, we place cup into boiled water and cook cup for 3 to 5 minutes, withdraw cup with forcep and make sure there is no water in the cup, wipe water on the cup mouth, quickly attach cup on the skin surface. The manipulation of this method is complicated so that it is not commonly used.

Extruding: this method is used for plastic cup, fix cup on diseased area, then extrude on the bottom of cup to exhaust air, open hand so that cup can be attached on the skin surface. This method is easy to use but not suitable for moving cup.

Air suction: this method is commonly used for multiple function cupping instrument. We use different sizes cup according to diseased area or point and put cup on the skin, withdraw small pin located on the bottom of cup, apply air suction gun into the valve on the bottom of cup and forcefully exhaust air in the cup, observe that skin protrudes about 0.5 to 1.5cm ( according to the tolerance of patient, location and disease ), withdraw air suction gun, press pin downward. This method is easy to study and use, convenient to observe color change of skin, easy to perform moving, flash, bleeding cupping, so it becomes commonly used in the clinic.
